Based on previous practice, I needed a container with a variety of undulations, a closed bottom and one that would fit my concept - taking the same production rules. According to my previous analysis of the different ceramic moulding processes, it was too risky to throw the ceramic by hand to ensure consistency in the rules used; plaster moulds were too stable and left no room for variation. In the end I decided to use a rolling pin to make a piece of clay and then move it to a plaster mould where the gravity effect would create natural folds in the clay.
