Expectations in the ceramic production process are mostly pre-designed. The decision path to a pre-design is very narrow and without extensive experience it is difficult to ensure that every decision is made in accordance with the design. The decision path varies according to the clay and a large number of other factors. This results in a huge variety of samples that can be produced by the puller. Design does not mean everything, nor does the perfect implementation of a pre-design mean success. Unexpected effects make it easier to produce more unique pieces or elements, and gathering more visual elements through failure I think is the key to breaking out of one's design ideas. In other words listen more to the voice of the material, the natural beauty of the material itself is unique. Just as there are not two identical leaves in the world, there are not two identical pieces of clay in the world. I prefer to reduce the element of human control in my work and use repetitive manipulation to reflect the diversity of materials.
