Reading Room with Tony Hayward
I have seen very many interesting books and I have received a lot of inspiration. It made me think further about how to use print to interact more with the user and to sketch by changing the way the paper is put together.
I really liked one of the books where the dolls were turned over and then filled and sewn together, which made me start thinking about the way we use and look at objects from a different perspective. In addition to this, I saw a lot of different artworks about hands, which made me realise that hands and gestures can not only convey emotions but are also involved in the act of interacting with objects and people.
Exhibition Day
“Windows in Japan are part of a long architectural tradition that affect people’s everyday environments in culturally specific ways.”
The way the objects are presented, the way they are displayed, the relevant background information and textual explanations are inspiring. The opening and closing of windows affects temperature, humidity and light, which further affects all aspects of people's lives.

The permanent collection and The Conran Effect
I came across a book on sustainable design and I started to look at the possibility of living with materials that could be part of sustainable design. I also noticed a piece with amazing light and shadow design.
